Brighton Sewer Tour

11am

Our famous sewer tours have been revealing their Victorian secrets to visitors for more than 50 years. The award-winning tours run from May until September and are a popular attraction with visitors from across the world. Tour guides will take you through 366 metres of the 48km of sewers, starting at the Brighton Pier and emerging through a manhole in the middle of Old Steine Gardens.

PLEASE NOTE: The sewers are deep, poorly lit and slippery. Walking through them and climbing a 15ft vertical exit ladder both require reasonable agility. Sewers are confined spaces and the atmosphere can be unpleasant for some and cause breathing problems for those who suffer from asthma, bronchial illness or angina. The sewers could also induce claustrophobic distress for some visitors. If you have any doubts about your fitness to participate in a tour, please consult your GP.
