Sue – Age 64

“I wouldn’t like to be young now. I feel wiser with age, I wish I was this wise when I was 20. When you get older you gain different strengths and views; your views change. I feel calmer now, and like I can say more and get away with it!”

I’ve been working here 9 years. The building is fantastic, the staff are amazing, I love all of it. As soon as you walk through the building door you think, thank goodness I came. There’s something about it in here that’s a privilege to me, because I’m born and bred in Brighton so to be able to work somewhere like this is amazing. I feel so lucky and honoured to work here.

I wouldn’t like to be young anymore. I feel wiser, I wish I was this wise when I was 20. When you get older you gain different strengths for different things, different views, your views change, rightly or wrongly. I feel calmer,  I feel like I can say more and get away with it!

In my spare time, I do knitting, walking, looking after my grandchildren, we’re a huge family so we do lots of family orientated stuff. I don’t do exercise but I don’t sit still, I’m always busy, be it doing the garden, the shopping, going for a walk. I don’t actually exercise but I’m never still so for me I feel that’s enough exercise.
